JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will provide
you with the responsibilities of:

  • Maintains 24 hour accountability for adequate
    staffing and quality patient care in department in a safe and effective
    manner which uses resources appropriately
  • Acts as a clinical resource. Can mobilize
    appropriate clinical resources when necessary
  • Demonstrates the ability to motivate the team and
    produce quality outcomes
  • Works collaboratively with Director on planning and
    implementation of unit recruitment and retention
  • Ensures EPIC documentation supports the JCAHO and
    CMS standards

JOB REQUIREMENTS

An excellent
candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • RN, Wisconsin licensure
  • Bachelors
    degree preferred
  • ACLS, TNCC and PALS or ENPC. CEN preferred.
  • Current ER
    nursing experience
  • Prior
    management experience desired. Charge or triage experience required.

This position will provide
you with a high level of accountability and visibility. This position reports
to, Director, ER and Urgent Care.

Looking for an FNP or PA to work at the walk-in clinic from the hours of 5:00 PM-7:30 PM Monday-Thursday. The walk-in clinic is located at the hospital and is housed within family practice to see patients after-hours for primary care illnesses and some urgent care needs.

Overview:

The Director of CV Patient Care is a key leadership role in the community. Abbott Northwestern Hospital is building out high end quaternary services and this position is pivotal to the flawless program execution to achieve high quality care, outcomes and an exceptional patient experience. This position ensures we hit the triple aim; while achieving our AMS and other financial metrics.

We currently have high patient experience scores and strong quality scores.  This position ensures we continue to do this as we implement very complex new programs (e.g. transplants, vad’s, percutanious values..etc)

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the nursing practice & all aspects of patient service delivery for 5 patient care units (including 32 CV ICU beds & 96 Telemetry beds), and cardiac monitoring center.
  • Responsible for nursing practice RN’s in the cath labs, ep labs, prep & recovery and cv diagnostic area. Also responsible for RN navigation in a cross functional setting.

Education:

  • BSN required, Master degree in Nursing, or relevant areas preferred.
  • Current RN license in the state of Minnesota.

Experience:

  • 5 years current leadership experience in acute care hospital, ideally with sub-specialized &/or quaternary programs.

Skills:

  • Leadership, financial management, operational management planning, collaborative & persuasive, conflict resolution, relationship building and maintenance.
  • Current on management principles and patient care trends.
