Sr. Manufacturing Engineer –Machining

Looking for a great opportunity to work with a world class manufacturing company in Northwest Wisconsin? We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer that is a hands-on machining expert and has excellent project management abilities for new product introduction.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position will provide you with the responsibilities of:

  • Determining the processes used to manufacture new assemblies or make revisions to existing assemblies
  • Providing programming suggestions and set-up methods, designing fixtures and tooling, and managing the entire process from quote through production
  • Managing the shop floor layout and applying lean principles to continually drive out waste
  • Improving process efficiencies using statistical data and suggestions from the operators
  • Solving production issues in a real-time environment on the shop floor
  • Following up with corrective actions to implement immediate and permanent solutions
  • Managing the capital equipment long range plan for ROI on new equipment and refurbishment of existing equipment
  • Identifying and implementing automation where applicable
  • Supporting the team responsible for advanced product quality planning (APQP) and assisting the Quality Engineer with PPAP requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

An excellent candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • MUST HAVE a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering (Or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 8 years Manufacturing Engineering experience in a machining operation
  • Strong communication skills with a wide variety of people
  • Ability to generate shop floor drawings using AutoCAD or similar software
  • Demonstrated use of statistical process control for process improvement
  • Strong background in and knowledge of machining
  • A positive can-do attitude and willingness to take on issues and drive them to resolution
