Sales Manager – Hydraulic Systems – Mobile 

Looking for an opportunity to use your knowledge of hydraulic to manage a high performing sales team? Our client is looking for a highly motivated person with a strong technical background in fluid power systems to help grow the business with existing customers and develop new accounts. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will provide you with the responsibilities of:

  • Working with your Regional Sales Managers to help establish new accounts, build relationships and grow business with existing accounts
  • Working with Manufacturing and Operations to make sure Sales is fully integrated with all the processes
  • Working with your Regional Sales Managers to help remove obstacles and ensure new sales projects are transitioning smoothly to the plant
  • Coordinating product training, sales training and ensuring the sales force understands the latest innovations
  • Negotiating pricing with vendors and customers
  • Understanding the market and creating strategies to expand sales
  • Managing the inside sales force and ensuring the sales process is continually being improved
  • Working with customers to understand their systems and suggesting/selling improvements that will ultimately make them more efficient – selling new technology solutions
  • Working with internal resources to ensure sales is being supported and customers are treated with a high sense of urgency
  • Reviewing the sales forecast and progress to the plan with the General Manager
  • Managing profit margins on new and existing business – adjusting pricing as necessary 

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

An excellent candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • 8 – 10 years’ experience selling hydraulic systems to the mobile market
  • Previous sales management experience
  • Previous experience selling for a manufacturing company with engineered product
  • A strong technical understanding of fluid power systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to train technical people
  • Up to 25% travel may be required 

You will be a key member of the management staff and have the opportunity to grow your income based on your effectiveness. This position will provide you the experience of growing sales and being part of the strategic planning team to help determine future business direction.
