Job Description
This person is key to the customer experience in a growing community bank. This position reports to the Bank President and will provide you with the responsibilities of:
- Growing revenue as directed by senior management by successfully prospecting for new business and retaining and expanding existing customer relationships.
- Developing referral relationships with realtors, builders, bankers, and other sources in order to proactively solicit business and conduct sales-related activities, in order to meet specific loan volume origination goals.
- Approving loans within assigned limits, managing loan and portfolio credit quality, sourcing prospects and developing new customer relationships.
- Acting as the front line contact with customers and realtors to ensure that documents required for processing, underwriting, and closing are secured in a timely manner.
- Identifying and successfully capitalizing on cross-selling opportunities and making appropriate referrals.
Requirements
An excellent candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- 7 to 10 years of commercial lending experience and 2 years experience generating and servicing client with 5MM+ in loan volume
- Strong relationship management and business development/sales skills
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Thorough knowledge of credit and credit quality
- Thorough knowledge of bank products and services
- Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups in managing customer relationships
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
