Manufacturing Engineer –Machining

Looking for a great opportunity to work with a world class manufacturing company in the St. Cloud, MN? We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer that is a hands-on machining expert and has excellent project management abilities for new product introduction.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position will provide you with the responsibilities of:

• Determining the processes used to manufacture new parts or make revisions to existing parts
• Providing programming suggestions and set-up methods, designing fixtures and tooling, and managing the entire process from quote through volume production
• Providing shop floor drawings using AutoCAD for each operation from rough machining to the finished product
• Improving process efficiencies using statistical data and suggestions from the operators
• Solving production issues in a real-time environment on the shop floor
• Following up with corrective actions to implement immediate and permanent solutions
• Supporting the team responsible for advanced product quality planning (APQP) and assisting the Quality Engineer with PPAP requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

An excellent candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering (Or equivalent) desired, applicable work experience considered
• 5 – 7 years Manufacturing Engineering experience in a machining operation
• Strong communication skills with a wide variety of people
• Ability to generate shop floor drawings using AutoCAD or similar software
• Demonstrated use of statistical process control for process improvement
• Strong CNC machine programming experience with multiple controllers
• A positive can-do attitude and willingness to take on issues and drive them to resolution
